# stop

The `prisma dev stop` command stops one or more [local Prisma Postgres](/guides/local-development-2-postgres) databases.

prisma dev stop [options] <name>
```

| -------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| `<name>` | Name(s) or glob pattern(s) of the server(s) to stop |
